Omschrijving

The Fristom M10MV-150A marker light from the MV-100 serie is designed for use as an LED marker light on vehicles with a 12-24 V electrical system. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which makes the product suitable for long-term use under various conditions. This marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Thanks to surface mounting and the open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm, installation is easy to carry out. The product meets the certifications CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 and has a waterproof construction. This makes it suitable for a variety of vehicle applications, including trucks, semi-trailers and agricultural vehicles. The dimensions are 100 x 50 x 32.5 mm. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
