Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-5600 serie includes LED marker lights suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This amber marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector functionality within one housing. Its compact size of 110 x 45 x 9mm makes it applicable to a variety of vehicle types and semi-trailers, with both flush mounting and surface mounting possible. The lens and housing are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and durability. The open wire end with 50cm cable facilitates electrical connection. The LED marker lights from this series are certified to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91, confirming conformity with the relevant regulations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
