Omschrijving

The amber coloured LED marker light from the Fristom MV-2900 serie is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Thanks to its surface mounting, this model is easy to install on a variety of vehicles, including semi-trailers, semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to durability and impact resistance. The marker light is fitted with a 50 cm cable with open wire end. With its compact dimensions of 94 x 36 x 9mm, it is suitable for applications where space is at a premium. The lighting complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 labels. The WATERPROOF rating indicates that the product can withstand influences of water under specified conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
