Omschrijving

The Horpol LED marker light from the MV-3200 serie is designed for application on vehicles within the 12-24 V voltage range. This marker light combines the functions: side marker lights and reflector. The housing and lens are made entirely of polycarbonate, which ensures an impact-resistant and durable construction. Thanks to surface mounting and the open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm, installation is easy to carry out at various positions along the vehicle. With a compact design of 102x35x12 mm and an amber coloured light output, this LED marker light visually fits well with common vehicle requirements. Its IP68 rating guarantees water- and dust-tightness under harsh conditions. The certificates CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 underline its suitability for use on public roads, in accordance with European directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
