Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Horpol s MV-3200 serie is suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The marker light features a white neon-look LED strip and has a reflector function. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 102x44x15 mm and surface mounting, the lighting is easy to integrate along various vehicle types. The housing and lens are made of durable polycarbonate. Its IP68 rating ensures full dust-tightness and protection against long-term immersion. The product meets CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 approvals and features a 50 cm cable with open wire end for flexible connection. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
