Omschrijving

This LED marker light from the Horpol MV-3200 serie is designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The combination of rear marker light and integrated reflector makes this model suitable for rear signalling. Thanks to its compact design of 102x44x15 mm and robust polycarbonate housing, this marker light is resistant to various environmental influences. The red neon-look LED strip provides a uniform light line and contributes to a uniform appearance around the vehicle. The IP68 rating ensures protection against dust and long-term immersion in water. Furthermore, this marker light meets the certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7. Installation is easy thanks to the open wire end and 50cm cable, combined with surface mounting. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
