Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-2900 serie includes compact LED marker lights designed for 12-24V systems. This red model is suitable for various applications on vehicles and 12V semi-trailers where clear marking and reflection is required. The marker light combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to a robust and impact-resistant construction. Surface mounting and the open wire end with 50 cm cables allow quick and easy installation. The model complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 directives. The waterproof designation indicates that the marker light is resistant to water influences in common outdoor applications. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
