The Fristom MV-2920W is part of the MV-2900 serie and is an LED marker light with white light colour. Its compact dimensions of 102 x 36 x 9 mm and slim design make it suitable for surface-mounted applications where space saving and visibility are important. This marker light is equipped with a built-in reflector function. The product is designed for use within voltage ranges of 12-24 V and features a 50 cm cable with a 1.5 mm² connector. Both the lens and housing are made of polycarbonate. The waterproof construction contributes to its durability in a variety of weather conditions. This LED marker light complies with the European approvals CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
