Omschrijving

The Fristom M10MV-120A marker light from the MV-100 serie is designed as an LED marker light for 12-24V vehicle installations. This model combines the functions: side marker light and reflector in one compact unit with dimensions of 130 x 32 x 14.5mm. Thanks to its polycarbonate housing and lens, it is resistant to mechanical and weather influences. Connection is via a 1.5mm² connector to a 50cm cable for flexible mounting at various positions around the vehicle. Surface mounting makes this marker light suitable for a variety of applications within transport or special vehicles. The amber-coloured light emission contributes to the lateral visibility of the vehicle. The product complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
