Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-100 serie is suitable for use as side marker lights and also features a reflector function. Its compact design (130 x 32 x 14.5 mm) makes it suitable for mounting on various vehicles in a variety of environments. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, which contributes to the product's durability. Surface mounting and a 50 cm cable with a 0.75 mm² connector allow efficient connection to vehicle installations with 12-24 V on-board systems. The amber coloured lighting meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91. This makes this LED marker light deployable in accordance with relevant vehicle lighting regulations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
