Omschrijving

The Fristom M10MV-150A-AMP marker light from the MV-100 serie is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This LED marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Thanks to its amber coloured lens, the product is suitable for side application on semi-trailers, commercial vehicles or agricultural vehicles, where signalling in accordance with ECE R91 is required. The robust housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, making the product suitable for use in demanding conditions. The unit is equipped with a 50 cm cable and a 2-PIN connector, contributing to a reliable connection. Surface mounting makes installation easy. The product complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
