Omschrijving

The Horpol LED marker light from the MV-3300 serie is designed for use on commercial vehicles within the voltage range of 12-24 V. This model offers the functions of rear marker light and reflector in one housing, contributing to vehicle visibility and safety. Its compact dimensions of 71x42x25 mm and surface mounting allow integration on a variety of vehicle types. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate for increased impact resistance and protection against external influences. With an IP68 rating, the marker light is fully dust- and waterproof. The product complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 certifications. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm. Plus points of this series: - Available in amber, red and white for a uniform look all round - Optionally available with integrated mounting bracket - Available in short or long format where the light remains the same

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
