Omschrijving

This marker light from the Horpol MV-3300 serie is designed as an LED marker light for applications on vehicles within the 12-24 V voltage range. Thanks to its robust polycarbonate housing and lens, it is resistant to external influences, with a protection rating of IP68. Surface mounting and the 50 cm long connection cable with open wire end ensure easy installation. This LED marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The amber-coloured light contributes to vehicle visibility and safety marking. With dimensions of 122x44x16 mm, it is suitable for mounting on various vehicle types where space is limited. The lighting complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 directives. Plus points of this series: - Available in amber, red and white for a uniform look all round - Optionally available with integrated mounting bracket - Available in short or long format where the light remains the same

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
