Omschrijving

This amber-coloured LED marker light from Horpol s MV-4400 serie is suitable for applications on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Its compact Slimline design and surface-mounting makes it easy to integrate the marker light on various vehicle types. It combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to high impact resistance and durability. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the marker light is dust- and waterproof, making it suitable for long-term use in a variety of weather conditions. The product is CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R91 certified and comes with a 50 cm cable with open wire end. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
