The Horpol MV-4400 serie offers a compact solution within the category of LED marker lights. This marker light comes with a white lens colour and features: reflector. Thanks to its slim design and dimensions of 77.5 x 18.5 x 11mm, it is suitable for mounting on a variety of vehicles where limited space is available. The polycarbonate housing and lens contribute to its impact-resistant design. The marker light features an open wire end and comes with 50cm cable for flexible installation. This model is suitable for 12-24V electrical systems and can be used on both light and heavier vehicles. Protection against water and dust is guaranteed by its IP68 rating. Furthermore, the product complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
