Omschrijving

The Horpol MV-4400 serie LED marker lights are designed for application to 12-24 V systems within various vehicle categories. This model combines a compact size of 77.5 x 18.5 x 11 mm with a housing and lens made of polycarbonate, suitable for surface mounting. The marker light comes in white light and has an integrated reflector function. With an open wire end and 50 cm cable, this LED marker light is easy to install. The lens is available in clear or dark versions for visual coordination with other lighting on the vehicle. The IP68 rating ensures protection against dust and temporary immersion. This model complies with CE marking and ECE R10 and ECE R7 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
