Omschrijving

These LED marker lights from Fristom s MV-2700 serie are designed for 12-24 V applications and are mounted on the vehicle via surface mounting. They combine the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to the compact size of 65x42x30 mm, the marker lights can be flexibly placed on a variety of vehicle types, including semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and offer durability under a variety of conditions. The marker lights feature an open wire end and a cable length of 50 cm. The lighting complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
