Omschrijving

This white LED marker light from Fristom s MV-1200 serie is suitable for applications on vehicles with a 12-24 V electrical system. Thanks to its compact surface-mounted design and dimensions of 125x60x24 mm, the marker light is easy to install, even in tight positions. The housing and lens are both made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and durability. The marker light also functions as a reflector and is equipped with a 0.75 mm² connector and a 50 cm connection cable. This version features CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 certification, making it suitable for use within the European market. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
