Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1250R from the MV-1200 serie is an LED marker light suitable for vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12-24 V. This model comes in red and combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate for mechanical resistance and durability in demanding applications. Thanks to the IP value "WATERPROOF" and certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7, the marker light is approved for use in a variety of environments in accordance with European directives. Power is supplied via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm, offering installation flexibility. The dimensions are 123x80x38 mm, suitable for surface mounting. The uniform design and available light colours make this marker light a suitable solution for standardised vehicle lighting. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
