Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1250A from the MV-1200 serie is an LED marker light with amber coloured LEDs, designed for reliable vehicle signalling within the voltage range of 12-24 V. This model combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Thanks to its robust surface-mounted polycarbonate housing, it is resistant to mechanical influences and suitable for mounting on various vehicle types, including semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and agricultural vehicles. The lens is also made of polycarbonate, which contributes to its impact resistance. With a dimensions of 123x80x38 mm and a 50 cm long connection cable with open wire end, flexible installation is possible. The marker light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
