This LED rear light from the Horpol Mavic serie is designed for use on trucks, semi-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles within a 12-24V on-board system. Thanks to its robust housing and polycarbonate lens, the product can withstand harsh conditions, according to protection class IP68. With CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R148 and ECE-R150 certification, this LED rear light complies with applicable regulations. This rear light combines the functions: tail light, brake light, indicator light, dynamic indicator light, fog light, reversing light and licence plate light. The model features an open wire end with 150 cm of cable for direct connection, and is mounted on the rear of the vehicle. Its dimensions of 405x145x63 mm make it suitable for mounting on spacious surfaces. The reflector is integrated, contributing to visibility and safety. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
