Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from Horpol s MV-4100 serie is designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 74x47x25 mm, this marker light is suitable for situations where space is limited. Surface mounting and the open wire end with 25 cm cable ensure easy installation. The marker light combines two functions: rear marker light and reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate for increased impact and corrosion resistance. This product meets CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 certifications and has an IP68 rating, indicating a high-quality seal against dust and water. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
