Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-900 serie includes compact LED marker lights designed for applications where visibility and positioning are essential. This model features an amber coloured lens and functions as a side marker light. Thanks to the use of a polycarbonate housing and lens, this marker light can withstand mechanical stress under a variety of conditions. The product features a 50 cm long cable with an open wire end connection, offering installation flexibility. Mounting is done without the included mounting bracket. These LED marker lights are approved to CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 standards. The surface mounting meets the requirements for water resistance, designated 'waterproof' by the manufacturer.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
