This red LED marker light from Horpol s MV-4100 serie is designed for universal use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Its compact size of 73 x 33 x 17.3 mm makes this marker light suitable for applications where limited installation space is available. The use of polycarbonate for both the housing and the lens makes it resistant to mechanical influences and weather conditions. This marker light combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. The surface mount and open wire end with 45cm cable ensure easy installation. Thanks to its IP68 rating, it is completely dust-proof and protected against long-term immersion. The certifications CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 confirm that this marker light meets relevant vehicle lighting requirements. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
