The Horpol LED marker light MV-3550W from the MV-3500 serie is designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This white marker light is equipped with an open wire end and has a cable length of 50 cm, suitable for surface mounting. Thanks to the combination of a robust polycarbonate housing and lens, this marker light can withstand intensive use in a wide range of environments. The marker light meets certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 and has an IP68 rating, indicating a high level of dust and water resistance. This version combines the marking function with an integrated reflector, contributing to vehicle visibility and safety. Its compact dimensions of 100 x 38.5 x 60 mm allow installation in various vehicle configurations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
