Omschrijving

The Horpol marker light from the MV-3500 serie is designed for 12-24 V vehicle installations and comes with a 50 cm long connection cable with open wire end. These LED marker lights come in amber coloured light and combine the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and offer protection against dust and water in accordance with IP68. Thanks to ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 certification, these marker lights are suitable for use on public roads. A surface-mount assembly allows installation on various vehicle types, including semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
