Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-6550W is part of the MV-6500 serie and is designed as an LED marker light with reflective function. Thanks to its slim design, this marker light lends itself well to applications on semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and other vehicles where visibility and regulatory compliance are required. The version is suitable for both 12 V and 24 V systems and features a polycarbonate housing and lens, which contributes to its durability in long-term use. Connection is via a 50 cm cable with open wire end, and surface mounting is possible. The product meets IP68 classification and is certified to CE, ECE R10, ECE R148 and ECE R150. Plus points of this series: - Slimline design - Available in amber, red and white for a uniform look all round - Choice of adhesive mounting or screw mounting to fit your vehicles

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
