Omschrijving

This Fristom MV-6500 serie series LED marker light is designed for applications in semi-trailers, semi-trailers and commercial vehicles, among others. With compact dimensions of 135 x 23.5 x 11 mm and a slim profile, this model is suitable for mounting in locations with limited space. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, contributing to a robust and durable sealed construction. The marker light provides side marker function with integrated reflector in amber colour and is connected via a 50 cm long cable with open wire end. The power supply is suitable for 12-24 V systems, making it usable on both light and heavy vehicles. Thanks to adhesive mounting, installation is easy, without mechanical fastening. This product is certified to CE, ECE R10, ECE R148 and ECE R150 and has a protection rating of IP68. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
