Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-6500 serie features a white light colour and an integrated reflector. The model is designed for 12-24 V systems, making it suitable for use on a wide range of vehicles within the transport and logistics sector. Mounting is via an adhesive strip, suitable for flat surfaces where drilling is not desired. Thanks to its fully enclosed housing with IP68 rating, this LED marker light is protected against dust and long-term immersion. The housing and lens consist of polycarbonate, which contributes to mechanical durability. The product is certified to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R148 and ECE-R150. Power is supplied via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
