Omschrijving

This LED side marker light from Horpol s MB-4800 serie is designed for application on vehicles within the 12-24 V range. Thanks to its multi-voltage support, the product can be widely used on various vehicle types. The light combines the functions: rear marker light and side marker light, with a light colour in red, white and amber for optimal visibility and recognition. The side marker light is constructed with a robust rubber housing and an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens. With an IP68 rating, it is suitable for long-term use in harsh environmental conditions. Mounting is suspended and power is connected via an open wire end with a 50 cm cable. The MB-4800 serie complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R7 and ECE-R91 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
