This 800-serie LED rear light from Fristom is designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The product combines the functions: rear light, fog light and reflector in one round housing with a diameter of 140 mm. Surface mounting allows installation on a variety of vehicle types. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to its impact resistance and durability under changing conditions. Featuring an open wire end and 100 cm cable, the LED rear light meets IP68 classification for dust and water resistance. Also certified to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R7 and ECE-R38 standards. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
