Omschrijving

This amber LED marker light from Fristom s MV-1200 serie is suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its robust polycarbonate housing and lens, it is resistant to mechanical influences and suitable for surface mounting. Its dimensions of 123x80x38 mm make it applicable in various vehicle types, such as semi-trailers, truck and semi-trailers. This LED marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The product is certified to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91, fulfilling the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and visibility. The IP value is marked as waterproof, indicating protection against moisture under common conditions. Connection is via a 1.5mm² connector with a cable length of 50 cm. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
