Omschrijving

Designed for use on 12-24 V vehicles, this red LED marker light from Horpol s MV-5100 serie functions as a rear marker light with integrated reflector. Thanks to its compact size of 80x23x14 mm, the light is suitable for mounting on a variety of vehicle types where limited mounting space is available. The housing and lens are made of durable polycarbonate, which contributes to the mechanical resistance and service life of the product. Surface mounting combined with a 30 cm cable with open wire end simplifies installation. This marker light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10 and ECE R7 and is resistant to dust and immersion with a protection rating of IP68.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
