Omschrijving

The Fristom LED marker light of the MV-6200 serie is designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its compact size of 65x28x18 mm and surface mounting, this marker light is widely applicable, e.g. on semi-trailers, commercial vehicles or agricultural vehicles. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and durability in heavy-duty use. This LED marker light combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the product is fully dust- and waterproof, suitable for demanding environments. CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 approvals confirm that the marker light complies with relevant technical and EMC directives. Connection is via an open wire end with a 15 cm cable. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
