Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-6200 serie includes compact surface-mounted LED marker lights designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This amber-coloured side marker light with integrated reflector is suitable for both light and heavy commercial vehicles, such as semi-trailers, truck and agricultural machinery. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, which contributes to its durability and protection against mechanical influences. Thanks to IP68 protection, the marker light is fully dust- and waterproof, suitable for long-term use in harsh conditions. This model features a standard open wire end with 15 cm cable for direct connection to the electrical system. The certifications CE, ECE R10 and ECE R148 confirm that the product complies with the relevant European requirements on electromagnetic compatibility and vehicle lighting. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
