This LED rear light from the Fristom VC-4500 serie is designed for use on vehicles with 12-24 V electrical systems. Its robust surface mounting, including polycarbonate housing and lens, makes this model suitable for use in demanding environments where durability is required. Thanks to the surface mounting, installation is easy to perform on a variety of vehicle types. This rear light combines the functions: rear light, brake lights, indicators, fog lights and reversing lights. The rear light features an integrated reflector and is connected via a 6-PIN bayonet connector. With a compact construction of 240 x 140 x 53.5 mm, the installation is flexible to fit. The certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R148 and ECE-R150, as well as the IP68 rating, confirm conformity with relevant standards in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility, lighting technology and water and dust resistance. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
