The Fristom VC-4600B5CAN model from the VC-4600 serie is a surface-mount LED rear light, suitable for applications within 12 V electrical systems. This rear light combines the functions: rear light, brake light and indicators. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to high impact resistance and durability. With dimensions of 240x140x58 mm, this model is compatible with various vehicle types. These LED rear lights are equipped with a 5-PIN bayonet connector and support CAN-bus systems in suitable versions within the series. The VC-4600B5CAN meets the following certifications: CE, ECE R10, ECE R148 and ECE R150, and has water- and dust-proof protection according to IP68. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps.
