Product description: The Fristom MV-7500 series is designed for use as marker lights on vehicles with an on-board power supply of 12-24 V. This white LED marker light features reflective features and a surface-mounting bracket for easy installation. Thanks to its compact polycarbonate housing and integrated lens , the luminaire is resistant to mechanical influences. The 50 cm long cable with open wire end offers connection flexibility. The MV-7500 complies with CE and ECE R10 directives, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility within vehicle installations. The horizontal and vertical mounting options increase applicability within a variety of vehicle applications. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
