Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1400 serie LED marker lights is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This red lens version combines a rear marker light and reflector in one housing. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 120x46x18 mm, the marker light is suitable for a variety of applications in the vehicle sector. Both housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and resistance to external influences. Mounting is via surface mounting and the luminaire is fitted with a 50 cm cable with open wire end. The electrical connection is easy to integrate into existing installations. This marker light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7. The IP classification "WATERPROOF" indicates that this product is protected against water and dust penetration. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
