Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1260R is part of the MV-1200 serie and was developed as an LED marker light for vehicles operating on 12-24 V systems. Thanks to its red light design and integrated reflector , this LED marker light contributes to both visibility and safety, especially in the contour lights of commercial vehicles, semi-trailers and agricultural vehicles. The housing and lens consist entirely of polycarbonate, making it impact-resistant and weatherproof. This model is suitable for surface mounting and comes standard with a cable length of 50 cm and a 0.75 mm² connector. Its dimensions are 123x80x38 mm. The MV-1260R complies with the CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
