Omschrijving

Designed for use on 12-24V vehicles, this red LED marker light from Horpol s MV-2100 serie offers reliable visibility within a wide voltage range. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to its slim design and compact housing of 134 x 27 x 14.5 mm, this marker light is suitable for a variety of applications on both light and heavy commercial vehicles. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to high impact resistance and durability. The 50 cm long cable with open wire end allows quick and flexible mounting. This LED marker light is surface-mountable to install and complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 approvals. A sealing rating of IP68 guarantees protection against dust and immersion in water. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
