Omschrijving

The Horpol MV-2100 serie includes compact LED marker lights suitable for a wide range of vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This marker light in red features reflector and rear marker light function. The slim design with dimensions of 134 x 27 x 14.5 mm makes the product suitable for applications where limited installation space is available. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to increased resistance to external influences. With a protection rating of IP68, fully dust- and waterproof operation is guaranteed. The CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 certifications support legal usability on public roads. Mounting is via surface mounting with a 50 cm cable and open wire ends for direct connection. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
