Omschrijving

This marker light from Horpol s MV-2100 serie is designed for surface mounting on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Its slim design makes it suitable for applications where limited installation space is available. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to high impact resistance and durability in various weather conditions. The marker light features a reflector and a white lens colour. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm. With dimensions of 134 x 27 x 14.5mm, the light has a compact design. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
