Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from the Horpol MV-1700 serie is suitable for use on vehicles in the truck and semi-trailer sector. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector and is designed for an operating voltage of 12-24 V. Thanks to the housing and lens made of polycarbonate, the marker light is robust and suitable for surface mounting. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 45 cm. With a compact size of 111x52x22 mm, it can be easily integrated into a variety of vehicle designs. The product meets the certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 and comes with a high protection rating of IP68, making it suitable for exposure to humid and dusty environments. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
