Omschrijving

The Horpol MV-1700 serie includes LED marker lights designed for use on 12-24 V vehicle installations. Its compact dimensions of 111x72x22 mm make this marker light suitable for applications in the truck and semi-trailer sector, among others. This product combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to a robust construction for use in demanding environments. Thanks to its IP68 rating, this marker light can withstand long-term exposure to dust and water. CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 certifications confirm compliance with relevant European directives on electromagnetic compatibility and vehicle lighting. Connection is via an open wire end with a 45 cm cable, suitable for flexible mounting on surface-mounted vehicles. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
