The white LED marker light Horpol MV-1750W from the MV-1700 serie is designed for 12-24 V applications and is suitable for mounting on trucks and semi-trailers. With housing and lens made of polycarbonate, this marker light offers impact resistance and durability in demanding conditions. Its dimensions are 111x52x22 mm and the product features an open wire end with 45cm cable, which simplifies installation. Surface mounting allows integration into a variety of vehicle equipment. The marker light performs the function of a reflector, contributing to vehicle visibility and safety. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
