Omschrijving

The Horpol MV-3400 serie includes compact LED marker lights suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This model features an amber coloured lens and is designed for surface mounting. Thanks to its integrated reflector function, this marker light contributes to vehicle visibility and safety. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, ensuring high durability. With a dimensions of 91x52x47 mm and a 25 cm connection cable with open wire ends, installation is easy. The marker light meets IP68 classification for dust and water resistance and is certified to CE, ECE R10 and ECE R91, allowing a wide range of applications within European regulations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
