Omschrijving

The Horpol MB-4700 serie includes this LED side marker light with a combined light colour of red, white and amber. Its multi-voltage range of 12-24 V allows integration into a variety of vehicle installations. Suitable for mounting on the side or rear of vehicles, this model offers the functions: rear marker light and side marker light. The light is composed of an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens and a rubber housing. Its IP68 rating ensures fully dust- and waterproof operation. The MB-4700RWA complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R7 and ECE-R91, and comes with a 50 cm connection cable with an open wire end. Its compact dimensions of 64x100x55 mm allow mounting in limited spaces. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
