Omschrijving

The Fristom MB-2500 serie was developed for vehicles requiring reliable signalling in narrow positions. This LED side marker light with red and white light contributes to increased vehicle visibility in a variety of weather and lighting conditions. Its compact size of 102 x 30.6 x 44mm allows mounting in tight positions, for example on semi-trailers, commercial vehicles or semi-trailers. The water- and dust-proof housing (IP67) is made of impact-resistant rubber with a polycarbonate lens, designed for durability in demanding environments. This surface-mount LED side marker light comes with 50 cm connection cable with an open wire end and is suitable for use within 12-24 V on-board voltage systems. The MB-2500RW features CE, ECE R10 and ECE R7 certification. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R148 — unified signalling lamp regulation.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
