This LED rear light from the Fristom VC-5600 serie is designed for vehicles operating on 12-24 V systems. Thanks to its robust polypropylene housing and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, this model offers reliable performance in a variety of conditions. Surface mounting and the open wire end with 100 cm cable ensure easy installation. This LED rear light combines the functions: rear light, brake light and indicator. In addition, a reflector is integrated for extra visibility. With compact dimensions of 120x70x30 mm, this model is suitable for mounting in locations with limited space. The rear light meets the IP69 standard for water and dust resistance and is certified according to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
